To secure a sales and sales management job you have to focus on what you bring to the table directly related to the companies" ability to capture that business and turn it into profit. The best way to do this is of course to have a stable list of clients that you bring to the table that can be easily converted to the new company. After all the personal relationship you have is what keeps them there. That"s where salesmanship works its magic. This is assuming you"re applying in the same field of work and you aren"t completely new to the business.Now how do you get to that point where you can present what you have? It"s not enough to say I have this client base, not always. How do you spike the interest of the interviewer? Without sounding like all you have is an account to sell and nothing else to bring to the table? The way you sell yourself to them for the position is going to be the way they see you selling the company to potential clients.
