Hair and Beauty Jobs in Bristol
For all of these roles, there will have to be some sort of training first. For the beauty jobs, these can be jobs such as make-up artists, beauty therapists and consultants. There are qualifications available for those who would like to take their skills further. As long as there are department stores or retail shops that sell make-up products, there will almost always need a make-up artist around. Without one, customers will not know whether the product will suit them or are good for them. Knowledge about make-up is also essential; it is also a role which may need the make-up artist to sell to the customer, especially if working within a retail environment. However, for the more lucky ones, some make-up artist can just be putting make-up on actors, actresses, models and anyone within the TV industry. Here, the make-up artist will need to be really good at their job to make the person being make-upped, look good in front of the camera.
Although, make-up is important when trying to look good, the hair also needs to be styled. Unfortunately, messy hair doesnò€™t suit everyone. Fortunately for people who work in this industry, the need for hairdressers will never end, mainly because, everyone is born with hair and almost everyone would need to have a haircut or hair done during their lives.
Hairdressing roles can either be self-employed or working within a shop. The self-employed roles are usually done by individuals who have once trained in a hair salon before and charge customers on the type of work done on their hair. With hairdressers or stylists that work within a hair salon, they are usually charged at an hourly rate. If working in a hair salon, there are jobs such as being a receptionist of hair assistant which donò€™t need qualifications. However, these roles are lower paid than the hairdresser or stylist. If deciding to work as a hairdresser, there are qualifications available in colleges, most hair salons would require qualifications rather than offering training. But there are training available which for the customer can be good news, because the rates are cheaper, or bad news, because of the lack of experience.
Both the beauty jobs and hair jobs usually require some sort of qualification, but these can easily be achieved because nearly every college will provide the courses. Ò Whichever option is chosen, both are needed within this industry and the increase in demand has resulted in a number of opportunities.
